Ali Pervaiz Malik flags Strait of Hormuz oil, gas challenges
Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said Strait of Hormuz oil prices and gas costs face global pressure, while Pakistan kept Qatari supplies steady and expects enough gas through winter.
Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said Strait of Hormuz uncertainty has affected global oil and gas prices.
He spoke at a private university convocation in Lahore and said Pakistan had managed the situation for six months.
Domestic petroleum prices, he said, follow a transparent process, with subsidised petrol for low-income groups.
Gas from Qatar is continuing without interruption, with sufficient supply expected in December and January.
