Washington forms Task Force Iron Gate against Iran arms flows

The unit targets advanced weapons and sanctioned goods reaching Iran over land borders and across the Caspian Sea.

A separate investigation found Iran's secret military network brought in at least $2 billion in equipment since January 2025.

Central Command says its naval blockade has kept more than $25 billion of Iranian crude from being exported.

Mediators are pushing to end the war, while Trump has threatened a fresh offensive against Iran.
