Pakistan air-to-air missile Fa'az clears first flight test
The military’s media wing said Fa'az uses advanced terminal guidance and is meant to let the Pakistan Air Force engage aerial targets at longer ranges.
Pakistan successfully flight-tested Fa'az, its first indigenously developed air-to-air missile, the ISPR said on Tuesday.
ISPR said Fa'az has a terminal guidance system and can engage aerial targets at longer ranges.
The missile is expected to widen Pakistan Air Force operational flexibility and strengthen the defence posture.
Senior armed forces officers, scientists and engineers witnessed the launch.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the services chiefs congratulated the developers.
