Faysal Bank profit for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, came to Rs15.2 billion after tax, Faysal Bank Limited (FBL) said in a statement from Karachi. Before tax, the bank posted Rs31.3 billion for the same period.
Profit after tax (PAT) is the amount left once the bank has paid its tax. Earnings per share, the profit attributed to each share, stood at Rs10 for the period.
Dividend and profit context
The board has declared a third-quarter cash dividend of Rs1.5 per share, which the bank put at 15 percent. This comes in addition to the Rs3 per share already paid for the first half of the year.
The bank said its results reflect trade and transaction flows, a growing customer base and an expanding branch network. The announcement does not compare the nine-month figures with the same period last year or with other banks, so it does not by itself show whether the Faysal Bank profit is high.
Deposits and balance sheet
Total assets stood above Rs1.8 trillion, and the bank said it took a measured approach to balance-sheet growth while prioritising the quality of its funding. Deposits rose 9.3 percent to Rs1.56 trillion, led by a 20 percent rise in current accounts to Rs642 billion.
The share of current accounts in total deposits improved to 41.2 percent from 37.5 percent in December 2025. CASA, the combined share of current and savings account deposits, rose to 85.2 percent from 81.9 percent over the same period.
The Advance-to-Deposit Ratio, which shows how much of its deposits the bank has lent out, moderated to 50.1 percent from 61.1 percent in December 2025. The bank linked this to its prudent lending stance. The infection ratio, the share of loans classed as troubled, was 2.4 percent, and the bank described asset quality as robust.
The bank also issued a Rs7 billion Tier II Sukuk, an Islamic bond that counts toward a bank's capital base, which it said strengthened its capital.
What the bank's leaders said
Chairman Mian Muhammad Younis thanked customers for their trust and said the bank remains committed to broadening access to Shariah-compliant finance, which is finance that follows Islamic law.
President and CEO Yousaf Hussain said the results reflect a strategy built on low-cost, transaction-led deposits, disciplined risk management and a stronger capital base. He said the next phase of growth will focus on scaling digital banking, deepening trade and transaction services, and reaching more women and underserved customers.
