What the calendar sets out
The PSL 12 auction date sits in the middle of a pre-season process that begins with direct signings. Each of the eight franchises can directly sign one marquee player who did not feature in PSL 10 or PSL 11. Franchises have until November 23, 2026 to finalise those signings.
A franchise workshop is due next week to settle deadlines for player retentions and the trade window before the auction. Officials will also discuss auction rules and playing conditions. Further details on the auction process and other squad-building arrangements are expected in the coming weeks.
How PSL direct signings work
Direct signings let a franchise add a player outside the auction itself. For this season, the route is limited to one marquee player per franchise, and that player must not have featured in PSL 10 or PSL 11. The window is open now and closes on November 23, 2026, after which the auction on January 23, 2027 becomes the next main step.
