The Pakistan Navy has invited applications from young men for 57 civilian technical posts in Batch A-2027. In a report from Sukkur on 12 October, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) said the hiring is for the Pakistan Navy civilian apprentice category in the Lower Formation. The seats sit with the Pakistan Navy Civilian Authority (PNCA) — the arm that employs the Navy’s civilian industrial and technical staff — at Basic Pay Scale 7 (BPS-07), a junior grade on the government pay scale.
APP, citing a handout issued in Sukkur on Monday, said candidates must be Pakistani nationals aged 15 to 19 years on 1 January 2027. They need Matric with Science and at least 55 percent marks; applicants from Balochistan can qualify with 45 percent. ProPakistani reported those same thresholds from the recruitment advertisement and said online registration started on 11 October 2026. APP said forms can be submitted until 20 October 2026 at www.joinpaknavy.gov.pk, and ProPakistani gave the same last date.
Who can apply
Both APP and ProPakistani say the intake is open only to men. APP added that every applicant must sit an entry test on the date and time printed on the registration slip. Candidates who want more information can contact the Pakistan Navy Recruitment and Selection Center in Sukkur or other selection centres around the country.
These Pakistan Navy civilian apprentice posts do not come with a published monthly salary, ProPakistani said, because the advertisement is silent on pay. ProPakistani also reported that applicants must meet further conditions on the Navy recruitment website. Those conditions are not listed in APP’s summary of the handout.
Where the seats go
ProPakistani set out the quota in the advertisement. The largest shares are 16 seats on open merit, 14 for Punjab and 11 for coastal areas. The rest are two for Punjab minorities, two for Sindh’s urban quota, three for Sindh rural, four for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two for Balochistan, and one each for Azad Jammu and Kashmir, former FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan. APP reported the total of 57 vacancies and did not give this breakdown.
Training and the bond
On this Pakistan Navy civilian apprentice route, selected candidates train for three years and then remain bound for eight years, APP reported. The appointment is Civilian Apprentice (BPS-07).
ProPakistani also drew on training notes published by the Pakistan Navy Polytechnic Institute, separate from the details in the Sukkur handout. Those notes divide the course into two years at the institute and one year of specialised training at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard or another Navy unit. The institute names Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Ship Construction Technology as its fields, and says apprentices who finish receive a three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) — a technical diploma — in the field they trained in.
Under the institute’s published rules, as described by ProPakistani, apprentices sign an agreement to serve the Pakistan Navy for at least eight years after training. The agreement sets financial liabilities if that service is not completed. ProPakistani said applicants should read the bond first, because the commitment continues after the course ends.
What candidates should do now
Online applications close on 20 October 2026. After registering, candidates must attend the entry test named on their slip. APP said further questions can go to Pakistan Navy selection centres, including the Recruitment and Selection Center in Sukkur.
