The Punjab government is recruiting 39 people into the Punjab Tourism Force, with pay of up to Rs80,000 a month and a 10 percent annual increase, according to ProPakistani. The Department of Tourist Services, part of the Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department, is seeking applicants who hold a Punjab domicile, the document that confirms provincial residence. Hiring is for three years, and the contract can be extended. Forms must be submitted before 23 October 2026.
The balance of the intake is at the junior ranks. Of the 39 seats, 32 are Tourism Constables, four are Tourism Sub-Inspectors, and Tourism Inspector, Accounts Officer and Cashier have one seat each, ProPakistani reported from the official advertisement.
What the posts pay and who qualifies
Tourism Constables, on Rs60,000 a month, must have passed Intermediate or the Higher Secondary School Certificate in at least the second division from a recognised board. The age range is 22 to 29. Relevant experience is an advantage; the advertisement sets no minimum period.
Tourism Sub-Inspectors will be paid Rs70,000 a month. Applicants need 16 years of education with at least a second division or a 2.5 CGPA from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the commission that recognises universities. Ages run from 22 to 27. Experience is preferred, but no required length is given.
The Tourism Inspector post, at Rs80,000 a month, asks for that same 16-year education standard plus three years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field. Candidates must be 25 to 30.
The Accounts Officer, also paid Rs80,000, needs 16 years of study in accounts, finance or a related subject, a second division or 2.5 CGPA, and two years of relevant experience, at ages 25 to 30. The Cashier, on Rs70,000, needs a bachelor's degree in commerce, accounts, finance or a related field, with at least a second division or 2.5 CGPA from an HEC-recognised university, plus two years of experience, and must be 24 to 29. Where age relaxation applies, it will follow Punjab government rules.
Fitness standards and quota seats
Field ranks in the Punjab Tourism Force, meaning inspector, sub-inspector and constable, face physical checks. Men must be at least 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a chest measurement of 33 to 34.5 inches. Women must be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall. The eyesight standard is 6/6, the usual notation for normal visual acuity.
Those candidates need a medical certificate issued on or before the application deadline, signed and stamped by the medical superintendent of the relevant District Headquarters Hospital or of Mian Munshi Hospital, Lahore. Figures entered on the online form must match the certificate.
Seats are divided by quota. Three sub-inspector posts are open merit and one is reserved for women. Constable seats split into 23 open merit, four for women and five for minorities.
The inspector, accounts officer and cashier vacancies are open merit. The department will consider a candidate under the matching quota only when education, age and the other conditions are also met.
How to apply, and what follows
Candidates must apply online through the Punjab Job Portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk, under the Department of Tourist Services listing for the Punjab Tourism Force. The form covers identity, education and work history. Uniformed posts also ask for the measurements on the medical certificate. A form with errors or gaps may be rejected.
The Department of Tourist Services will review applications and shortlist candidates who meet the published requirements, ProPakistani reported. The report confirms that review and shortlisting; it does not set out any later test, interview or joining date.
