Is diesel covered by the Rs100 relief?

Every report we read covers petrol only. We have not seen a notified rule extending it to diesel, so we do not show one. This page changes when an official expansion is announced.

Does it cost anything, or will anyone ask for an OTP?

No. The minister said the scheme carries no charges and that the government will not ask for money, an OTP or a code by phone, WhatsApp or SMS. Report anyone who does.

PM Fuel Relief Scheme 9771: Rs100 off per litre

Rs100 per litre off petrol for motorcycles, rickshaws and cars up to 800cc, registered by SMS to 9771. As of 29 October 2026. Rules have changed since launch, so check the latest official announcement.

Who is eligible and how many litres

Motorcycles, rickshaws, Chingchis and other two- and three-wheelers	Up to 20 litres a month
Cars up to 800cc	Up to 30 litres a month

Tokens were first reported as 5 litres (bikes, Rs500 off) or 10 litres (cars, Rs1,000 off); on 19 Sep the minister said the five-litre limit per token was removed.
For motorcycles and three-wheelers users can apply, not only registered owners; for cars only the registered owner can.

Petrol is Rs377.91 per litre at the pump. With the Rs100 relief that works out to about Rs277.91 per litre. Illustration only: the discount is applied at the pump on eligible litres.

Province codes

Use the province where the vehicle is registered, not where you live. The minister said the first letter or the full name of the province works.

TOK and what to show at the pump

A confirmation message arrives when registration succeeds; registration is one time.
Before you go to the pump, send TOK to 9771.
Show the token number you get back to the pump attendant.
Check the bill carries the discount. Report a pump that refuses the relief to 9771, and other pump complaints to 9772.

Scam warning

The government says it will not ask for money, an OTP, a code or extra data by phone, WhatsApp or SMS. Do not pay agents and do not share your CNIC with anyone. Only send your details to 9771 yourself.
