Two Pakistan Army pilots were martyred on Monday when a Mushshak training aircraft crashed near Nawan Killi in Quetta, the military’s media wing said. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the crash happened at midday on 12 October 2026 because of a technical fault.
ISPR named the dead as instructor pilot Major Husnain Shehzad Humayun and student pilot Captain Abdul Samad. The Express Tribune and ARY News carried that statement. Both reports say the aircraft belonged to Pakistan Army Aviation and that no one else was on board.
An earlier version of this article followed only an Arab News headline, which said two Pakistani pilots had been killed in a training crash in the country’s southwest and did not name a town, a cause, or the pilots. Quetta is in southwest Pakistan. The ISPR statement supplies the place, the aircraft, the cause it has given, and the names.
The statements do not say which part of the aircraft failed. They do not report injuries on the ground at Nawan Killi.
