Two minor sisters were killed on Thursday after their motorcycle slipped while they were overtaking a tractor-trolley near Burj Cheema village in Daska, in Sialkot district. Rescue 1122 identified the girls as Muntaha, 12, and Minsa, 14, daughters of Abdul Manaf Cheema, who were residents of the same village. The Daska road accident is a reminder of the risks on narrow rural roads, where motorcycles and slow farm vehicles often share the same lane.
How the crash unfolded
According to Rescue 1122, the sisters were travelling from Daska city to their village when their motorcycle slipped as they tried to pass the tractor-trolley. Both of them fell onto the road. The tractor-trolley, which was coming from behind, ran over them.
The account does not fully explain the sequence of events. It describes the tractor-trolley both as the vehicle being overtaken and as the one approaching from behind, and it does not say where each vehicle was at the moment the motorcycle slipped.
Rescue response
Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene after receiving information. They carried out rescue operations and shifted the bodies to a hospital. The information available so far does not name the hospital, the driver of the tractor-trolley, or say whether a case has been registered.
