Sukkur IBA University, working with the Government of Sindh, has opened applications for the Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027. The text error text of the university announcement sets out a two-stage offer: 200 students will be chosen for a foundation semester on merit and financial need, and the top 100 who meet the academic standard can be considered for undergraduate scholarships at the main campus. ProPakistani reports that the last date to apply is 29 October 2026 and that the admission test will be held on 8 November 2026. Forms are submitted online through the university's official admission portal.
Who can apply
The programme is open to applicants who hold a domicile of Sindh and have passed Intermediate or an equivalent qualification. According to the university announcement reported by ProPakistani, students who completed that exam in 2024, 2025 or 2026 may apply, from any recognised examination board.
The announcement does not give a minimum percentage of Intermediate marks or a maximum age for the first stage. Selection is merit-cum-need based, which means the university will look at academic performance and financial circumstances together. Candidates should still check the admission notices for any further conditions.
Foundation aid and the four-year scholarship
The foundation semester is designed to prepare students for degree study by strengthening English, mathematics and ICT, or information and communication technology. Sukkur IBA will waive all tuition for the 200 selected students and provide books and study manuals free of charge. Each student is also due Rs 5,500 a month for living expenses and a separate stipend of Rs 4,000, which the announcement totals at Rs 9,500 a month. Hostel accommodation will not be available during this stage, so anyone living outside Sukkur has to plan their own stay.
After the foundation semester, the top 100 eligible students may be selected for regular undergraduate scholarships at the main campus. To qualify, a student needs at least a 2.2 GPA, a grade-point average, in the foundation semester, and must also meet the university's admission policy and the rules of the chosen degree. The scholarship waives admission and tuition fees for four years, covering eight regular semesters, and pays a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000. Recipients must keep a minimum 2.2 CGPA, or cumulative grade-point average, to continue the fee waiver, and the announcement says students who fall short could lose those benefits.
Degrees covered and how to apply online
The Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027, as described by ProPakistani, includes undergraduate courses in business administration, computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics, education and other fields. Business and finance options are the Bachelor of Business Administration, BS Accounting and Finance, and BS Economics, while computing options are BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering and BS Artificial Intelligence. Mathematics students can take BS Mathematics, with specialisations in data science and in actuarial and risk management, and the engineering programmes listed are BE Computer Systems Engineering and BE Electrical Engineering, the latter with specialisations in power, electronics and telecommunication. Other programmes are BS Physical Education and Sports Sciences, BS Media and Communication, and the Bachelor of Education.
A scholarship award does not replace the degree's own entry requirements. Students apply by opening the official Sukkur IBA admission portal, finding the Sindh Talent Hunt Program 2027 application, and completing the online form. Personal and educational details should match academic records and domicile papers so that verification does not run into problems. The text error text does not set out a separate document list, so applicants need to follow the instructions on the portal, and ProPakistani's report of the announcement does not mention past papers for the November test.
