In the latest Ufone 5G news, Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), through its Ufone 5G brand, has won two honours at the Dragons of Asia Awards 2026, while Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) separately earned two of its own. Ufone took a Gold Dragon in the Best in Media category for its Super 5 campaign and a Black Dragon in Marketing Discipline for Babar Azam’s Lost Phone. PTCL received a Bronze Dragon in Best in Digital for its Dil Se Ba-Ikhtiar social impact initiative and a Black Dragon in Marketing Discipline for its Mother’s Day campaign.

The Dragons of Asia Awards recognise results-driven marketing communications across the region. Organisers highlight work that pairs strategy, creativity and strong delivery. For Pakistani operators, the haul marks rare regional marketing recognition in a crowded field.

What Ufone won and why it stood out

Further Ufone 5G news detail centres on the Super 5 campaign, built around a package that lets users share data, calls and SMS with four friends or family members. The ads featured comedian and television host Tabish Hashmi alongside former Pakistan cricket stars Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, Abdul Razzaq and Saeed Ajmal, all part of the 2009 ICC T20 World Cup-winning squad.

Launched in February 2026, the campaign opened with social-media teasers in which the former players hinted at a mysterious “selection,” which sparked talk of a possible return to cricket. The finished ads flipped that idea: the players were shown competing for a place in Tabish Hashmi’s own Super 5 group. The work ran on Pakistani television and digital platforms and drew millions of online views. Ufone was the only telecom brand from Pakistan to win Gold at the awards.

The Black Dragon went to Babar Azam’s Lost Phone, which promoted Ufone’s Weekly Grand Offer. That campaign launched in February 2025 with Babar Azam posting that he had lost his phone and contacts, before the reveal showed the posts were part of a brand film.

PTCL’s social-impact wins

PTCL’s Dil Se Ba-Ikhtiar initiative focuses on women’s socioeconomic empowerment through digital inclusion, skills development and entrepreneurial opportunity. The Ba-Ikhtiar programme now spans 22 flood-affected districts across the country, linking connectivity and training to pathways for greater economic independence.

Its Mother’s Day: More Support for Mothers campaign urged more empathy and practical support for motherhood, including attention to new mothers facing post-partum depression. Amad Khan, PTCL’s chief marketing officer, said the company was “delighted to be recognized at the regional level” for work already honoured at home, adding that the true value lies in the difference made in people’s lives and in building a more inclusive digital future for Pakistan.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Ufone 5G ko Asia ke marketing awards mein Gold aur Black Dragon mile hain. PTCL ko bhi do awards mile hain, social impact aur Mother’s Day campaigns par. Is se yeh pata chalta hai ke Pakistani telecom brands ki ads aur social projects region mein notice ho rahe hain. Aam users ke liye seedha faida Super 5 jaisi sharing offers aur flood areas mein digital skills programmes se judta hai.
