IESCO bill payment online is now possible through QR codes. Customers of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company can pay electricity bills and every type of demand notice by scanning the code on the document with a banking app or mobile wallet. The payable amount appears for checking before the transaction is completed, which answers the first question most households have about cost.
How the QR code payment works
The steps are short: open an online banking application or mobile wallet, scan the code on the printed bill or notice, check the amount and complete the transaction. The facility is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week, so payment can be made at any hour. Customers do not need to travel to a payment centre to settle a bill.
What the company said
Chief Executive IESCO Engr. Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood said that paying would become quicker and simpler for customers, and that the change would bring more openness and accuracy to how money is collected. He urged consumers to scan only codes on a genuine bill or notice issued by the company, and to review the payment details carefully before finishing any transaction. The move follows directions from Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari. The Ministry of Energy (Power Division) has said it is committed to digital and customer-friendly services across the power sector, and this IESCO bill payment online option is part of that effort.
