Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the third T20 of the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20 series, played in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. The win stopped Pakistan from taking a clean sweep, which would have meant winning every match in the series.
Kusal Mendis led Sri Lanka's reply with an unbeaten half-century, bouncing back from two performances that had not gone well for him. The match result, with Sri Lanka ahead by eight wickets, is the only margin given in the coverage available here.
Mendis and Shanaka at the centre
Dasun Shanaka is also central to the coverage, and the match headlines name him and Mendis as the Sri Lankan captains who denied Pakistan the sweep. Match photographs from the Rawalpindi ground show Shanaka celebrating the wicket of Pakistan's Khawaja Nafay. Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan is shown playing a boundary shot in the same match.
