Polling began at 8:00 AM on Sunday for the Punjab by-elections across two constituencies: National Assembly seat NA-77 in Gujranwala and provincial seat PP-203 in Chichawatni.
The voting process is taking place to fill the vacancies created by the deaths of the previous lawmakers representing the two areas.

In Gujranwala, voters are choosing their representative for NA-77, a constituency expecting a competitive contest among political parties and independent candidates.
The seat became vacant after the passing of Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Bashir Virk.
PP-203 Chichawatni contestant details
The provincial assembly seat PP-203 in Chichawatni was left vacant following the death of Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Muhammad Hanif Jatt of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Among the candidates contesting PP-203 is Chaudhry Asad Hanif Jatt, the son of the late lawmaker, who is running on the PML-N electoral symbol of the lion.
