The federal government has raised petrol and high-speed diesel prices for the next 24 hours, according to the latest update from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the body that sets regulated fuel rates in Pakistan.
Motor spirit (MS) petrol is up by Rs1.54 to Rs379.25 a litre. High-speed diesel (HSD) is up by Rs2.16 to Rs395.82 a litre. The new rates apply from Monday, 26 October.
What changed overnight
Friday’s schedule left petrol unchanged at Rs377.71 a litre. Diesel that day rose by Rs1.91 to Rs393.66 a litre. Monday’s revision therefore lifts petrol after a pause and adds a further diesel increase on top of Friday’s move.
OGRA’s table for 26 October lists petrol at Rs379.25 and diesel at Rs395.82. Those figures match the overnight rises of Rs1.54 and Rs2.16 from Friday’s levels.
How much rates have moved under daily pricing
Pakistan has been revising petrol and diesel every working day. Since daily fuel pricing began, petrol is up Rs68.54 a litre and diesel Rs72.52 a litre, according to the cumulative change reported alongside the latest OGRA schedule.
What it means for drivers
A fuller tank of petrol costs a little more than on Friday. Diesel users, including many commercial transporters, face a second rise in four days after Friday’s Rs1.91 increase. Transport and goods costs often follow diesel moves within days.
The rates are set for the next 24 hours under the daily pricing system. Fresh OGRA figures are expected again for the following working day.
