Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited has approved the purchase of five more industrial plots covering 43.75 acres at SITE Nooriabad in Jamshoro district, and has cleared a package of renewable power investments, the company told the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.

The board of directors took the decisions at a meeting on 24 October 2026. Gul Ahmed, a listed composite textile mill with manufacturing and a national retail network, framed the moves as part of widening its industrial base in Sindh.

Five plots at SITE Nooriabad

The land sits in Sindh Industrial Trading Estates Limited (SITE) at Nooriabad. The five parcels are Plot B-80A (12 acres), B-153 (18 acres), B-236 (four acres), A-473 (eight acres) and B-268 (1.75 acres).

The company said the proposed acquisitions remain subject to due diligence and to completing the usual corporate, regulatory and legal steps. Separately, Gul Ahmed reported that it has already finished buying Plot A-44 at the same estate, including the land, building, plant, machinery, allied equipment and related assets.

Wind, solar and battery storage

Alongside the land plan, the board approved a 7.5-megawatt wind turbine from Goldwind, to be supplied through Orient Energy Systems (Private) Limited.

Directors also approved a solar plant of up to six megawatts, using panels from JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd., with local works assigned to A2Z Energy Systems (Private) Limited. A 20-megawatt-hour battery energy storage system (BESS)—equipment that stores electricity for later use—with a 0.5C rating was cleared as well, to be supplied by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. through Orient Energy Systems.

What happens next

The five new plots will move forward only after checks and formal approvals are finished. The company has not set public timelines in its disclosure for when the wind, solar or battery equipment will be installed or switched on.

Gul Ahmed makes and sells textile products and also runs retail stores that began in Karachi and now number more than 40 across Pakistan, selling fashion, clothing and home accessories. The latest board decisions centre on industrial land and on-site power assets rather than on store openings.
