Systems Limited reported a 14 percent year-on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs9.085 billion for the nine months ended September 2026, compared with Rs7.973 billion in the same period a year earlier. Earnings per share increased to Rs5.93 from Rs5.21, and net sales grew 33 percent to Rs76.492 billion. The listed IT and software services company did not announce a dividend with the results.

Nine-month and third-quarter results

For the third quarter of 2026 alone, consolidated profit after tax was Rs3.035 billion, up 9 percent from a year earlier, with earnings per share of Rs1.98. The nine-month figures show both higher sales and higher profit, though the pace of profit growth trailed the jump in revenue.

Selling and distribution expenses rose 31 percent year-on-year to Rs2.716 billion over the nine months. Administrative expenses increased 42 percent to Rs6.340 billion. Finance costs — the interest and related charges a company pays on borrowed money — rose 103 percent to Rs499 million.

Where growth came from

According to Topline Securities, nine-month sales growth was supported by strong performance in the Middle East and North America. Third-quarter sales in those regions grew 26 percent and 41 percent respectively. The brokerage said Middle East expansion continued despite geopolitical tensions, while North American growth was partly linked to the acquisition of Confiz.

Gross margin — the share of sales left after direct costs — stood at 25 percent in the third quarter, down from about 30 percent a year earlier. Topline said margins declined across most regions, while the domestic segment’s margin improved to 21 percent from 16 percent in the same period last year.

Costs, margins and what investors will watch

Higher operating and finance costs sit alongside the revenue gain, and the thinner third-quarter gross margin will matter for how investors read the quality of the earnings rise. The company has not declared a dividend on these results, so any payout decision remains for a later announcement if management chooses to make one.

Shareholders and market watchers are likely to focus next on whether Middle East and North America momentum holds, how the domestic margin improvement evolves, and whether finance costs stay elevated. Those details will shape how the rest of the year is judged against the nine-month picture already on the table.
