Microsoft quarterly revenue reached $92.3 billion in the latest period, a 19% rise from a year earlier, the company reported on Wednesday. The figure marks a 10th consecutive quarter of record sales. Net income was $36.6 billion, up 32% on a GAAP basis from the year-ago quarter.

Cloud leads the results

Microsoft said Microsoft Cloud revenue rose to $63.9 billion, up 30% from a year earlier. Within that mix, Azure brought in $33.2 billion, the largest cloud line, while Microsoft 365 accounted for nearly $28 billion.

Not all cloud demand is artificial-intelligence work. Enterprises still run conventional software and software-as-a-service applications on Azure, Microsoft’s breakdown shows. Still, AI-linked activity is part of the picture: the company reported $10 billion in revenue from OpenAI, which continues to run a large share of its services on Microsoft’s cloud even as it also works with other providers. Anthropic also runs on Azure, Microsoft noted in that context.

Contracted work and heavy spending

Microsoft said its commercial remaining performance obligation—the value of revenue already contracted but not yet recognised—increased 73% to $677 billion. That backlog includes commitments tied to AI labs and points to cloud work still to be delivered under existing contracts.

To prepare to meet those commitments, Microsoft is spending heavily. Capital expenditures topped $45.2 billion in the quarter, another all-time high for a single period, the company reported.

Devices soft while reporting shifts

Microsoft has reorganised business reporting into two segments: Agents and Infra, and Devices and Consumer. Devices and Consumer revenue was $15.5 billion, down 3%. Windows OEM and devices revenue fell 22% from the year-ago quarter.

Microsoft quarterly revenue growth, then, sat mainly in cloud and related services, while the consumer and hardware side lagged. That split is the clearest pattern in the numbers Microsoft released this week.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Microsoft ne is quarter mein $92.3 billion ki record sales batayi hain. Microsoft Cloud aur OpenAI se judi revenue ne zyada hissa diya, jabke Devices and Consumer ki sales 3% giri. Net munafa $36.6 billion raha. Jo log Office, Azure ya AI tools use karte hain, unke liye asl khabar yeh hai ke company ki badi growth inhi services se aa rahi hai.
