The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs), which oversees state firms, has approved board appointments that open board-level Pakistan crypto jobs at the Strategic Digital Wallet Company, while also moving to refresh Pakistan State Oil’s (PSO) board after its statutory term ended.
On a Finance Division summary, the committee cleared four independent directors for the wallet company’s board. The firm was created to manage, safeguard and administer Pakistan’s sovereign virtual assets—digital holdings the state itself controls.
Four directors for the digital wallet company
The four independent directors are the main concrete step so far for this government-owned virtual-asset entity. Their role is governance: overseeing how sovereign virtual assets are handled, rather than day-to-day retail trading for the public.
That board build-out is the clearest recent signal on Pakistan crypto jobs tied to a state-owned vehicle. Secondary interest in Pakistan cryptocurrency news often focuses on private platforms; this decision instead concerns a public company and its directors.
New independent directors for PSO
Separately, the committee approved a Petroleum Division summary to nominate a female independent director to PSO’s Board of Management and to add one more independent member. Officials framed the moves as part of reconstituting the PSO board once the previous statutory term had expired.
PSO is the large state oil marketing company that supplies fuel across the country. Board reconstitution is a governance process; the committee’s summaries do not describe changes to pump prices or product availability.
Clean Environment Fund and deferred pharma council
CCoSOEs also approved a Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination proposal to activate the Clean Environment Fund Company under the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (the federal environment regulator). Two ex-officio and three independent directors are to be appointed to run it.
A Ministry of Commerce plan to set up the Pakistan Pharma Export Promotion Council was deferred. That body was envisaged as a Section 42 company under the Companies Act, 2017, under the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), which promotes exports. The ministry was told to consult stakeholders further before returning the proposal.
Aasan alfaaz mein
Sarkari committee ne Strategic Digital Wallet Company ke board par char independent directors manzoor kiye hain. Yeh company Pakistan ki sarkari virtual assets sambhalegi. PSO ke board ko bhi naye independent directors ke sath dobara banana shuru kiya gaya hai. Seedha matlab yeh hai ke crypto aur fuel wali sarkari companies ki nigraani ke liye naye board members aa rahe hain, pump rates ya public trading rules is faisle mein nahi bataye gaye.
