The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the PCB women cricket schedule for the Women’s Super-3 T20 Tournament, which begins on 28 October and ends on 5 November at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. Three teams—Champions, Incredibles and Warriors—will play seven matches in a double round-robin format, and the top two sides in the standings will contest the final on 5 November. Each side has a 13-player squad, so 39 players will take part.
Match dates and format
Champions, led by Tuba Hassan, open against Gull Feroza’s Incredibles on 28 October. Champions then meet Muneeba Ali’s Warriors on 29 October, and Incredibles face Warriors on 30 October. The second round starts on 1 November with Champions versus Incredibles, followed by Champions versus Warriors on 2 November and Incredibles versus Warriors on 3 November. The final is set for 5 November.
Every fixture is due to begin at 10 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PKT). The PCB said the games will be livestreamed on tapmad and Tamasha. The winning team will receive Rs1.5 million, and the runners-up will receive Rs1 million.
Super 3 T20 squads and purpose
The PCB has also named the Super 3 T20 squads. Champions include Tuba Hassan, Ayesha Rehman, Fatima Khan, Komal Khan, Momina Riasat, Najiha Alvi, Natalia Parvaiz, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Tania Saeed, Tasmia Rubab and Tayyaba Imdad. Incredibles are captained by Gull Feroza, with Anosha Nasir, Ayesha Zafar, Eman Naseer, Mahnoor Zeb, Minahil Rafique, Omaima Sohail, Rida Aslam, Samiya Afsar, Syeda Aroob Shah, Syeda Masooma Zahra, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar. Warriors, under Muneeba Ali, feature Aleesa Mukhtiar, Ayesha Bilal, Diana Baig, Eyman Fatima, Gull Rukh, Hafsa Khalid, Humna Bilal, Rameen Shamim, Ravail Farhan, Sadaf Shamas, Shahar Bano and Zunash Abdul Sattar.
The Super-3 follows the National Women’s T20 Tournament, a 21-match event held in Faisalabad from 10 to 26 October. The PCB women cricket schedule for this shorter series is meant to give leading players from that tournament more competitive and tournament cricket experience.
