The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has postponed the Intermediate Second Annual Examinations 2026 Computer Science papers specifically for examination centers located in Jhelum district. Originally scheduled for November 10, the papers will now take place on November 30.
According to board officials, the decision was made following a formal request from the Jhelum deputy commissioner. The district administration indicated that local security and administrative personnel would be heavily deployed for the scheduled visit of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to Jhelum and Pind Dadan Khan on November 10. Officials noted that these official duties could disrupt the smooth conduct of the examinations.
Rescheduled timetable and coverage
Following the district administration's request, BISE Rawalpindi Controller of Examinations Mubashir Saeed issued an official notification adjusting the timetable. Spokesperson Arslan Cheema confirmed that the change applies exclusively to examination centers within Jhelum district.
Students appearing for the morning group in Jhelum will now sit for their Computer Science paper on the morning of Monday, November 30. The evening group examination will take place during the evening session on the same date at their assigned centers. Examination centers in all other districts operating under the Rawalpindi board will conduct the Computer Science papers on November 10 as previously planned.
Roll number slips and logistics
The board announced that updated roll number slips will be generated for the affected candidates in Jhelum. However, authorities clarified that students may also use their previously issued roll number slips to gain entry to their designated examination halls on November 30.
