Islamabad police have opened 790 jobs in the Dolphin Force for eligible men and women from across Pakistan. The recruitment advertisement issued by the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control covers Sub-Inspector (BS-14), Assistant Sub-Inspector (BS-11) and Constable (BS-07) posts, to be filled under provincial and regional quotas meant to keep selection transparent and merit-based.
Of the 790 vacancies, 750 are for constables, making that the largest share of the drive. Candidates who meet the education, age and physical rules can apply through the application procedure set out by Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police. Officials have urged applicants to check qualifications, age limits, physical standards and quota details carefully before submitting forms.
Ranks, quotas and who can apply
The drive is open to male and female candidates nationwide. Recruitment will follow the provincial and regional quotas announced by the Federal Government. The three ranks sit at different basic pay scales: Sub-Inspector at BS-14, Assistant Sub-Inspector at BS-11 and Constable at BS-07.
Because most of the seats are at constable level, the intake is weighted toward entry-level policing roles, while a smaller number of posts target the two junior officer grades.
Education and age rules
For Sub-Inspector, applicants need at least a second-class or Grade C bachelor’s degree (two years), an Associate Degree or a BS (four years), or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the body that accredits universities in Pakistan.
Assistant Sub-Inspector applicants must hold a second-class or Grade C BA, BSc or a post-intermediate Associate Degree from an HEC-recognised university. Constable applicants must have passed matriculation from a recognised board.
The age limit for all three categories is 18 to 25 years. An upper-age relaxation of five years applies under Federal Government rules, which can extend the ceiling for candidates who qualify for that relief.
Physical and fitness standards
Male applicants must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall; female applicants must be at least 5 feet 2 inches. Male candidates also need a chest measurement of 33 to 34.5 inches. Eyesight must be 6/6, with or without glasses, and near vision must not fall below J-1.
On the fitness run, men must cover 1.6 kilometres within seven minutes; women must cover the same distance within 10 minutes. Meeting these standards is part of eligibility alongside education and age.
How to apply and what comes next
Interested candidates who satisfy the criteria should follow the application steps provided by ICT Police. The advertisement does not set out interview or test dates in the material summarised here, so applicants should watch official ICT Police channels for further stages after forms are submitted.
Anyone considering the Islamabad police Dolphin Force openings should confirm their category, quota claim and documents against the published rules before applying, since incomplete or ineligible applications risk being screened out early.
