The Punjab government on Friday announced a free three-month Guest Relations Officer course for women, to be run by the Women Development Department under its SEHR Programme.
In a statement shared on social media, the department invited eligible women to enrol in the course, which it described as 100 per cent free. Classes will be conducted at the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab’s Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (TDCP-ITHM) in Lahore. TDCP-ITHM is the provincial tourism body’s training institute for hospitality work.
What the course covers
Officials said the Guest Relations Officer course is meant to give women practical skills and prepare them for jobs in the hospitality industry. The programme lasts three months and includes hands-on practical training, according to the Women Development Department.
Guest relations roles typically involve front-desk and guest-facing work in hotels and related venues. The department framed the training as a route into that kind of employment, without listing specific employers or starting salaries.
Who can apply and where it is held
Candidates must have passed at least matriculation. The department said seats were limited and urged interested women to apply as soon as possible.
The venue is 68-Trade Centre, Block, Johar Town, Lahore. Women seeking enrolment details were asked to contact the Women Development Department on the numbers it has shared for this intake.
