Reports say the United States has moved 10 US military cargo planes to Israeli air bases in the southern Negev as Washington and Israel prepare for a possible strike on Iran. The aircraft are said to have landed at Ovda and Nevatim. There was no immediate US confirmation of the deployments, and it remained unclear what the planes were carrying or whether any attack had been approved.

Where the aircraft went

According to the same accounts, additional US military planes were dispatched to bases in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The flights reportedly left Fort Bliss in Texas, home to one of the US military’s largest air-defence centres, including facilities linked to interceptor missiles and air-defence batteries.

An Israeli official said Israel and the United States were coordinating military preparations closely. “Israel and the United States are coordinating closely, and although no decision has yet been made on the matter, the Americans and Israel are preparing for any decision President Donald Trump makes,” the official said, without spelling out the nature or timing of any such decision.

Gulf reinforcements and regional posture

Earlier this week, reports said Washington had warned Gulf countries that a short, limited military campaign against Iran was possible. The US military was also said to have transferred a Patriot missile defence system — a mobile battery used to shoot down incoming missiles and aircraft — from Texas to reinforce air defences in the Gulf.

US troops stationed at bases across the region were reportedly instructed to leave as a precaution against escalation. Forces were said to be replenishing weapons stockpiles, with an additional aircraft carrier and a Marine Corps unit expected to arrive in November. Those reinforcements would join approximately 20 US warships already operating in the Middle East.

Separately, reports said US Central Command (CENTCOM) — the US military command for the Middle East — Commander Gen. Brad Cooper had briefed President Trump on options for potential strikes against Iran. Democratic US Sen. Chris Murphy said he and several other senators had received a briefing on possible plans to attack Iran, describing them as “insane.” He warned that such an operation would lead to a devastating escalation and could undermine the US commitment to the rule of law.

Timeline: what has happened so far

  • 28 February: The US and Israel launched attacks against Iran; Tehran retaliated against Israel and US targets across the region.
  • April: A ceasefire agreement was reached.
  • June: The US and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding on freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz; implementation later stalled over disagreements about the waterway’s security.
  • Earlier this week: Washington reportedly warned Gulf states of a possible short, limited campaign against Iran; a Patriot system was moved from Texas, and regional US troops were told to leave some bases.
  • Thursday: Ten US military cargo planes were reported at Ovda and Nevatim; further flights to Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar were reported; Gen. Cooper was said to have briefed Trump on strike options.
  • November (expected): An additional aircraft carrier and a Marine Corps unit are expected to arrive in the Middle East.

The latest reported moves come amid renewed concern that tensions between the US and Iran could rise again, with knock-on risks for shipping and energy routes that matter far beyond the Gulf.

Aasan alfaaz mein

America ne Israel ke Negev mein 10 military cargo planes bhejne ki khabar hai. Abhi America ne confirm nahi kiya, aur hamla karne ka faisla bhi nahi hua. Gulf mein bhi defence systems aur jahaaz badhne ki baat ho rahi hai. Agar tension barhti hai to petrol aur mail ke routes pe asar ho sakta hai, is liye Pakistan mein bhi is khabar ko ghaur se dekha ja raha hai.
