Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan’s largest exploration and production firm, has released OGDCL financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 showing consolidated net profit of Rs58.5 billion. That is nearly 53% higher than the Rs38.3 billion earned in the same quarter a year earlier. The company filed the figures with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the main share market where listed companies report results.
Revenue, margins and earnings per share
Higher sales underpinned the jump in profit. Revenue reached Rs132.4 billion in the quarter, up roughly 38% from Rs96.2 billion a year before. Gross profit rose 48% to Rs83.1 billion from Rs56.3 billion. Before income tax and final taxes, profit was Rs88 billion, compared with Rs62 billion previously. Earnings per share (EPS)—profit divided by the number of shares—stood at Rs13.60, against Rs8.91 in the corresponding quarter last year.
Costs, other income and associates
Not every line moved the same way. Exploration and prospecting spending climbed to Rs4.8 billion from Rs3.1 billion, a rise of nearly 55%. General and administration expenses edged up to Rs2.2 billion from Rs2.1 billion. Finance costs fell slightly to Rs1.16 billion from Rs1.22 billion. Finance and other income rose to Rs13.8 billion from Rs12.2 billion, and OGDCL’s share of profit in associates increased to Rs3.94 billion from Rs3.17 billion. Together, stronger revenue and supporting income lifted the bottom line reflected in these OGDCL financial results.
Dividend and company background
Alongside the numbers, OGDCL announced an interim cash dividend of Rs5 per share (50%) for the quarter ended 30 September 2026. The company said this is the highest first-quarter dividend it has ever declared. OGDCL was incorporated on 23 October 1997 under the Companies Ordinance, 1984, to explore, develop, produce and sell oil and gas. It continues work once carried out by the Oil and Gas Development Corporation, set up in 1961.
Investors watching PSX listings will look next at how production volumes and costs evolve in later quarters. The company has not, in these figures, set out a full-year forecast; the public record for now is the quarterly profit, revenue and dividend announced with the OGDCL financial results.
Aasan alfaaz mein
OGDCL ne September 2026 ke quarter mein lagbhag 53% zyada munafa kamaya hai—Rs58.5 billion. Company ne shareholders ko Rs5 per share interim dividend diya hai, jo pehle quarter ke liye us ka sab se bara dividend hai. Zyada munafa mainly zyada revenue se aya. Jo log OGDCL ke shares rakhte hain, un ke liye yeh dividend seedha faida hai; baqi awam ke liye yeh energy sector ki bari company ki mazeed mazboot mali soorat dikhata hai.
