The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB, the federal body that supports the software and IT export industry) has opened applications for a PSEB free AI bootcamp programme across Pakistan. Under the Prime Minister’s technology skills development program, the government-funded scheme aims to train about 3,384 participants on 10 specialised courses covering artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, software development and other IT fields. Who can apply and what you need
The programme is aimed at fresh IT graduates and working technology professionals. Fresh graduates who are Pakistani, hold a relevant computing or IT degree representing at least 16 years of education, finished in 2023 or later, have a valid CNIC and can attend the full schedule at an assigned centre may apply. Working IT professionals need a degree of at least 16 years of education and, under the published FAQ, a graduation year of 2023 or later; those with non-IT degrees can qualify if they work in a relevant technical role at an IT company and submit an employment confirmation letter from the CEO or HR. Applicants who graduated before 2023 are asked to confirm eligibility with PSEB, because the FAQ states a tighter rule than some registration routes suggest.
Final-year university students, especially those in their eighth semester, can register, but graduates get priority for shortlisting; students are considered only if seats remain. Women are encouraged to apply, and people from anywhere in Pakistan may join if they can reach their assigned centre. Fresh graduates should prepare a CNIC, recent photograph, degree certificate and transcript or marksheet; professionals need the same plus the employer letter. PSEB tech training covers tuition and materials, not a monthly stipend or travel allowance.
Courses, hours and cities
The 10 tracks include Artificial Intelligence (Python, machine learning, generative AI, large language models and AI agents); Digital Forensics and Cyber Security; DevOps; Database; Cloud Infrastructure; Programming – Web Engineering; Mobile Development; UI/UX; Automation and Software Testing; and Games and Art. Of the 300 hours, 230 are technical training and labs, 45 cover soft skills, and 25 focus on AI tools, freelancing and employability.
Northern locations listed are Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Gilgit, Skardu, Muzaffarabad and Mirpur. In Punjab: Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujrat and Bahawalpur. Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Quetta extend the map into Sindh and Balochistan. Eligible trainees who meet attendance and assessment rules can receive international certification examination vouchers. The programme also offers career counselling and structured job-placement help, though finishing a course does not guarantee a job.
