ABHI Microfinance Bank plans an ABHI Microfinance Bank IPO of 132 million ordinary shares on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), aiming to raise up to Rs3 billion. Disclosures filed with the exchange set book-building for 5 and 6 November and the retail subscription period for 12 and 13 November.
How the share offer is structured
Seventy-five percent of the issue—99 million shares—is earmarked for institutional and high-net-worth investors through book-building. The floor price is Rs15 a share, including a premium of Rs5. The price band may rise by as much as 50 percent, so the top of the band is Rs22.50 a share.
At the floor price, gross proceeds would be about Rs1.98 billion. The general public portion is to be fully underwritten by Arif Habib Limited, Topline Securities Limited, Growth Securities (Private) Limited, and Dawood Equities Limited.
Where the money is meant to go
Management says the funds will mainly expand the loan book and strengthen the capital base. The equity injection is expected to improve the capital adequacy ratio (CAR)—the cushion of capital a bank must hold against its risks—and help the bank meet minimum regulatory capital rules set by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the country’s central bank, for microfinance banks.
The bank projects that IPO proceeds will help close a capital shortfall and move its CAR nearer the regulatory threshold. Earnings over the following two years are also expected to support that position.
Profit and capital forecasts
ABHI Microfinance Bank expects to stay profitable in 2026. Management estimates about Rs1.5 billion of profit in the second half of the calendar year, taking full-year profit to around Rs3 billion. The bank’s forecast puts 2026 profit at Rs2.927 billion.
After adding IPO proceeds and projected earnings, it expects CAR to turn positive and reach roughly 4.3 percent by the end of 2026, before other capital adjustments. Further profit in 2027, plus routine regulatory capital adjustments, is projected to lift CAR to 17.8 percent by the end of that year—above the SBP minimum of 15 percent for microfinance banks.
What the bank does, and who owns it
The bank serves customers through branches and branchless channels. It reports more than 114 branches in over 108 cities, alongside a technology-led digital platform. Products include gold-backed loans, earned wage access, salary-backed lending, advance salary financing, merchant financing, and microenterprise credit for agriculture and livestock businesses.
Disclosures shared with investors through the PSX show ABHI (Private) Limited holding a 73.73 percent stake and TPL Corp Limited owning the remaining 26.27 percent. Anyone following the ABHI Microfinance Bank IPO should treat the November book-building and retail dates as the near-term calendar to watch, and should rely on official PSX and bank filings for final pricing and allotment rules.
