Gold and silver rates in Pakistan today split on Tuesday: gold prices held steady while silver became cheaper in both the international bullion market and local sarafa (bullion dealers’) markets in Karachi.
For anyone checking prices before a purchase, the takeaway is simple. Gold did not move. Silver did—down by Rs120 a tola and Rs103 per 10 grams after a softer session abroad.
International bullion prices
In the international bullion market, the gold price per ounce stayed flat at $3,896, with no change reported from the previous level. Silver, by contrast, lost ground: the price per ounce fell by $1.20 and settled at $48.90.
That pattern—steady gold and weaker silver—set the tone for dealers at home. Local rates usually follow global moves, though currency and demand can still shape the final rupee quote.
Local gold and silver prices
In Karachi’s sarafa markets on Tuesday, gold and silver rates in Pakistan today mirrored that mix. Gold per tola remained unchanged at Rs412,136. The rate for 10 grams of gold was also unchanged at Rs353,340.
Silver moved the other way. Per tola, the silver price fell by Rs120 to Rs5,368. Per 10 grams, it fell by Rs103 to Rs4,602. Buyers shopping for silver jewellery, utensils, or investment pieces therefore faced a slightly lower ticket than before the cut; gold buyers saw the same rupee levels as earlier.
What buyers should note
A tola is a traditional weight used widely in Pakistan’s jewellery trade (about 11.66 grams). Ten-gram quotes help compare smaller pieces. Because gold held and silver eased, mixed purchases—such as a gold ring with silver accents—would mainly feel the change on the silver portion.
Dealers and shoppers often recheck gold and silver rates in Pakistan today against the next session, since bullion can shift again when global markets reopen. Tuesday’s figures apply to the levels reported for that day in Karachi’s sarafa markets and on the international board.
Aasan alfaaz mein
Mangal ko sona ki qeemat waisi hi rahi: ek tola 412,136 rupay. Chandi sasti hui—tola 120 rupay kam, ab 5,368 rupay. Dunya bhar mein bhi sona qaim raha aur chandi giri. Jo chandi kharidna chahta hai, us ke liye thodi raahat hai; sona kharidne walon ke rates nahi badle.
