BankIslami and Mastercard have joined hands to expand Mastercard Pakistan digital payments through a wider set of consumer and commercial cards. Under the agreement, the bank will build a broader mix of debit, credit and business card products for individual account holders, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs — smaller firms and traders) and larger commercial clients.

Broader card lineup for people and firms

BankIslami plans a priority banking programme that features Mastercard World cards, with Mastercard World Elite cards aimed at affluent customers. The collaboration also covers the bank’s Shariah-compliant credit card programme — products designed to follow Islamic finance rules — for both everyday and higher-income customers.

For companies, the bank will widen Shariah-compliant options for corporates and small and medium-sized enterprises. That includes debit cards and Business Payment Controls, tools meant to help firms manage payments and tighten how money moves through their supply chains.

Loyalty rewards across the card range

Mastercard will support the launch of BankIslami’s unified loyalty platform across its card portfolio. The aim is a single, consistent rewards and benefits experience for customers, rather than fragmented perks on different cards.

Taken together, the steps are meant to deepen Mastercard Pakistan digital payments while giving Islamic-banking customers more of the convenience people expect from modern digital banking.

What BankIslami and Mastercard said

Imran H Shaikh, President and Chief Executive Officer of BankIslami, said the collaboration strengthens the bank’s ability to offer a broader range of Shariah-compliant card and payment solutions for individuals and businesses. He said the goal is to make Islamic banking a preferred choice by pairing Shariah-compliant products with modern digital banking capabilities.

Arslan Khan, Mastercard’s country manager for Pakistan and Afghanistan, said Mastercard connects people and businesses through digital payment technology. Working with BankIslami, he said, expands payment options for consumers and small businesses in Pakistan, supports the bank’s Shariah-compliant card offerings, and helps more customers join the digital economy.

Aasan alfaaz mein

BankIslami aur Mastercard ne mil kar Pakistan mein digital card payments ko mazeed options dene ka faisla kiya hai. Debit, credit aur business cards — shamil Shariah-compliant products — zyada customers aur chhoti-bari companies ke liye aayenge. Rewards ek hi loyalty platform par milne ka irada hai. Agar aap BankIslami customer hain, to naye cards aur benefits ke liye bank se check kar sakte hain.
