Siemens Pakistan healthcare support was underlined in Berlin on Saturday when company executive vice president Daniel Frisch met President Asif Ali Zardari. Frisch said Siemens was prepared to increase its contribution to healthcare facilities in Pakistan, according to the Presidency.

The encounter came during Zardari’s three-day visit to Germany as the two countries near the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Frisch described Siemens’ existing work in the country and noted progress in Sindh’s health services.

What Siemens offered and plans next

Frisch framed a willingness to do more for hospitals and related facilities. A company delegation indicated that Siemens representatives intend to travel to Pakistan to formalise memoranda with local partners covering skills development and health technology.

Those steps would build on work already under way. Siemens’ technological support in Pakistan includes tools and systems used in cancer care, stroke care and treatment of other illnesses. The firm employs more than 100 people across three Pakistani cities.

Zardari’s message and facilitation offer

President Zardari pressed for wider use of research and technology in healthcare. He also offered institutional cooperation through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the government body that helps coordinate major investment and project facilitation.

The Berlin talks therefore linked a corporate pledge on facilities and technology with a formal channel for follow-up inside Pakistan. Formal memoranda with local partners would be the next concrete step once Siemens teams arrive.

What remains to be formalised

No new rupee figure, hospital list or signing date was announced in the account of the meeting. What is clear is the direction of travel: stronger Siemens engagement on Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure, partner MoUs on skills and technology, and continued work in areas such as cancer and stroke care, alongside the workforce already based in three cities.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Berlin mein Siemens ke aik bari afsar ne President Zardari se mulaqaat ki. Unhon ne kaha ke company Pakistan ke hospitals aur sehat ke facilities mein zyada madad denay ko tayyar hai. Jaldi Siemens ke log Pakistan aa kar skills aur health technology ke agreements karne ka irada rakhte hain. Cancer aur stroke jaise ilaj mein pehle se madad jari hai, aur yeh baat mamooli mardon ke liye behtar machines aur training ka raasta khol sakti hai.
