The Sindh government has opened 175 short-term field staff posts across all 30 districts of the province. The Sindh Bureau of Statistics (SBoS), which works under the Planning and Development Department, is recruiting for the Sindh Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (SMICS) 2026–27. Both men and women with at least Intermediate education may apply if they meet the advertised rules.

Posts on offer across Sindh

According to the official recruitment advertisement, the drive covers two field categories. There are 140 Enumerator/Measurer posts for female candidates and 35 Enumerator posts for male candidates. All roles are on a short-term basis and are spread across every district in Sindh, which means vacancies are not limited to Karachi or other large cities alone.

SMICS is a province-wide household survey used to gather indicators on living conditions and services. Field staff typically visit selected households to collect data; the advertisement frames these roles as enumerator and measurer work for that survey cycle.

Who can apply

Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years old. General age relaxation will follow government rules where they apply. The minimum education is Intermediate, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognised institution. These Sindh Bureau of Statistics jobs therefore sit among Sindh government jobs for intermediate-level applicants who also have field experience.

The department also requires at least one year of post-qualification experience in field surveys linked to maternal and child health. Relevant work may cover antenatal care, postnatal care, or child immunisation surveys. Applicants must upload documentary proof of that experience. Anyone who lacks the stated education or experience will not qualify.

How to apply and the deadline

Applications are accepted only online through SIBA Testing Services (STS), the testing body handling this recruitment. Interested candidates should use the official STS candidate portal, register or log in, select the Sindh Bureau of Statistics advertisement, fill the form, and upload personal, educational, and experience documents. They must then download the system-generated fee challan, pay the prescribed fee, and finish the online process. The last date to apply is 20 November 2026.
