The Al-Shifa Centre for Community Ophthalmology (ACCO) is organising an Al-Shifa eye camp at Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Ghazi in Haripur on November 3-4, offering free eye care and surgical services to local residents at their doorstep.
Where and when the camp will run
The free eye surgical camp will take place at THQ Hospital Ghazi, Haripur. It will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Organisers say the Al-Shifa eye camp gives people in the area a chance to get specialised eye care without leaving their tehsil.
Why the camp is being held
The initiative aims to help residents who face difficulty travelling to major healthcare facilities. By bringing services to the local THQ hospital, ACCO is placing specialised eye care closer to communities that often cannot make long journeys for treatment. Free eye surgery and other eye care will be available during the two-day camp.
Public support for community eye care
Al-Shifa Trust has invited public support for its community eye care initiatives. The camp at Ghazi is part of that outreach through the Centre for Community Ophthalmology, which works to extend eye services beyond large city hospitals.
