In a drug seizure Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) reported on Tuesday, the agency took 302.49 kilograms of illicit narcotics during nine raids and detained 10 people, one of them a woman. The actions spanned several cities and mixed roadside stops with a cargo check at Lahore's main airport.

Where the hauls were made

The heaviest find came near Kuchlak Bypass, where officers pulled 210 kilograms of morphine from a concealed stash. In Peshawar, 26.4 kilograms were lifted from a hidden section of a vehicle by a BRT halt on University Road, and one person was taken into custody.

In Burewala in Vehari district, a flagged car by the post office produced 10.8 kilograms of hashish and 7.2 kilograms of opium; two people were held. Close to Pindorian in Islamabad, another vehicle check turned up 9.6 kilograms of hashish and two more detentions.

Smaller stops and an airport intercept

On GT Road near Chanda Qila in Gujranwala, a man and a woman on a motorcycle were found with 6 kilograms of hashish. Near Sehrish Nagar in Hyderabad, a motorcyclist was stopped with 5 kilograms of the same drug.

At a private cargo desk inside Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, ANF blocked 16 ladies' handbags packed with ice — a street name for crystal meth — with a combined weight of 11.290 kilograms and a stated destination of Australia. Separate inter-provincial checks added 9.6 kilograms of hashish by Ravi Toll Plaza in Lahore and 6.6 kilograms from a vehicle near Islamabad's Motorway Toll Plaza, each linked to one accused.

Charges and next steps

Officials said cases have been filed under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997 — the main federal law that criminalises trafficking and possession of banned drugs — and that questioning of those held continues. ANF is the federal body tasked with disrupting narcotics networks inside Pakistan and at exit points such as airports.

Tuesday's drug seizure Pakistan tally underlines how consignments move by road, motorcycle and air freight, and how the same day's work can range from a rural hideout to an international cargo lane.

Aasan alfaaz mein

ANF ne Tuesday ko mulk ke kai shehron mein operation kiye. Unhon ne lagbhag 302 kilogram nashiili cheezen pakri aur 10 logon ko giraftar kiya. Sab se bari miqdar Kuchlak ke paas morphine thi, aur Lahore airport par Australia jaane wale bags bhi rok liye gaye. Ye cases ab qanoon ke mutabiq chal rahe hain.
