The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Pakistan’s federal law-enforcement body that also handles immigration at airports, has offloaded two passengers at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore after officers found fake Netherlands visit visas in their passports.

According to an FIA handout issued on Sunday, the travellers, named as Qaiser Munir and Ali Hassan, were booked to fly abroad on a Qatar Airways flight. FIA Immigration staff spotted the forged visas during routine checks and stopped them from boarding.

How the visas were exposed

Officials said the fake Netherlands visit visas came to light in the normal immigration screening process at the Lahore airport, not through a separate tip-off described in the handout. Once the documents failed verification, both men were taken off the flight and held for follow-up.

The agency later transferred them from FIA Immigration Lahore to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore, which deals with illegal migration and related trafficking cases.

Money paid to a Gujrat agent

Preliminary inquiries, the FIA said, showed that both passengers had agreed to pay Rs4 million each to an agent identified as Chaudhry Adnan Akmal Warraich, a resident of Gujrat, in return for the visas.

Each man had already moved Rs2 million into the agent’s bank account. Evidence of those transfers was recovered from the mobile phone of one of the passengers, according to the agency.

What the FIA says next

The FIA stated that operations against agents involved in fake visas, illegal migration and human trafficking will continue. It added that such activity damages Pakistan’s reputation and creates difficulties for genuine travellers who use legal channels.

No further court outcome, charge sheet detail, or update on the agent’s arrest status was given in the Sunday handout. For now, the confirmed picture is that two passengers were stopped at Lahore, fake Netherlands visit visas were detected, large advance payments were alleged, and the case has moved to the anti-trafficking unit.

Aasan alfaaz mein

FIA ne Lahore ke Allama Iqbal Airport par do musafiron ko rok diya hai kyunke un ke paas Netherlands ke fake visit visas nikle. Unhon ne Gujrat ke aik agent ko har ek ne 40 lakh dena maan liya tha, aur pehle se 20-20 lakh transfer ho chuke the. Ab ye mamla trafficking wale FIA circle ke paas hai. Seedhi baat ye hai ke fake visa se safar karna na sirf rok diya jata hai, balkay paisa aur qanooni musibat dono lag sakti hai.
