A Google Chrome AI update is expanding how the browser fills online forms: with permission, Chrome can pull useful details from your Gmail and suggest them as you type. Google said the advanced autofill will surface items such as a flight confirmation number, membership ID, tracking information, order number, address, phone number or credit card number by checking your inbox, so you spend less time hunting through confirmation emails and receipts.

What the new autofill actually does

The change builds on Chrome’s enhanced autofill. Last year that feature already could draw your name, passport number, email address and physical addresses from Google Accounts and services such as Google Wallet. Starting with this rollout, enhanced autofill uses Gemini with Personal Intelligence to suggest information sourced from Gmail—shipment tracking numbers, travel details such as a flight booking number or hotel reservation, and recent purchase order numbers among them.

Google frames the work as an expansion of Personal Intelligence, which already lets people connect Google apps to Gemini so the assistant can retrieve certain details and answer more complex questions. In practice, the Google Chrome AI update is meant to keep that same permission-based approach inside everyday form filling on the web.

Privacy controls and where it is available

As with other Personal Intelligence features, people can choose whether to enable enhanced autofill in Chrome settings. Google notes that sensitive data shown as a suggestion while a form is completed remains encrypted. Users can also manage what enhanced autofill can access, or switch it off completely.

Google is starting the rollout in the United States. The company said the improvements will be available through Gemini in Chrome for people who have Personal Intelligence turned on, on desktop as well as in the Android and iOS versions of the browser.

Why this matters for Pakistan-based readers

For now the Google Chrome AI update is limited to the US launch. Many people in Pakistan already use Gmail and Chrome for bookings, deliveries and online shopping, so the pattern is familiar even if the feature has not reached local accounts yet: less switching between inbox and checkout pages, and clearer control over whether the browser may read mail for form help. Until the feature arrives more widely, the practical takeaway is to know what Google is building and how settings and encryption are described for those who eventually get the option.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Chrome ab forms bharne ke liye Gmail se suggestions la sakta hai, jaise flight code ya parcel tracking number. Yeh pehle America mein Gemini aur Personal Intelligence ke saath shuru ho raha hai. Aap Chrome settings se isay on ya off kar sakte hain. Sensitive details encrypted rehti hain, lekin Pakistan users ko abhi wait karna padega jab tak rollout yahan na aaye.
