The Pakistan Cricket Board and Allied Bank Limited have signed a PCB and Allied Bank MoU in Lahore to promote the PCB Talent Hunt Programme for Schools 2026-27. A spokesperson said the agreement was finalized under the leadership of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Allied Bank President and CEO Aizid Razzaq Gill. The bank is putting PKR 100 million into the partnership so that schoolchildren in participating districts can get kits, equipment and related support for grassroots cricket.
What the partnership will deliver
Under the deal, schoolchildren across 100 participating districts and 1,400 schools nationwide are to be provided professional playing kits, equipment, logistics and clothing. The stated aim is to support grassroots cricket development through the board’s school talent hunt for the 2026-27 cycle. Allied Bank school cricket support of this kind is framed as practical backing—gear and logistics—rather than a one-off ceremonial gesture.
Both sides also pledged to extend the alliance in future years. They said they want to foster longer-term growth of cricket across the country, beyond a single season of the talent hunt.
Signing at Gaddafi Stadium
The formal ceremony was held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed Syed and Allied Bank Chief North CRBG Abid Anwar signed the document. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Allied Bank CEO Aizid Razzaq Gill were present for the signing.
The PCB and Allied Bank MoU therefore ties a national school programme to a named funding commitment and a public ceremony at the board’s Lahore home ground. Officials did not publish a district-by-district rollout calendar in the material available on the signing day.
What happens next
The immediate focus is the Talent Hunt Programme for Schools 2026-27, with Allied Bank’s PKR 100 million investment earmarked for kits, equipment, logistics and clothing at the scale described above. If the alliance is extended as pledged, later seasons could build on the same school network of 100 districts and 1,400 schools.
Families and schools waiting for kit deliveries will need further notices from the PCB on how schools are selected and when supplies arrive. Those operational details were not set out in the signing announcement.
