Allied Bank financial results for the nine months ended 30 September 2026 show profit after tax of Rs23,052 million, compared with Rs25,874 million in the same period of 2025—an 11% decline. Profit before tax was Rs47,181 million, 14% lower than Rs54,815 million a year earlier.

Income, costs and the bottom line

Mark-up and interest income rose 18% to Rs260,813 million, helped by higher average volumes of mark-up-bearing assets. Mark-up and interest expense rose faster—26% to Rs180,930 million—on higher borrowing costs, deposit costs and interest on right-of-use assets. Net mark-up and interest income still edged up 2% to Rs79,883 million.

Fee income increased 5% to Rs12,332 million, with gains in card-related fees, card acquiring and branch banking fees partly offset by lower remittance and investment-banking commissions. Dividend income rose 38% to Rs2,659 million. Capital gains fell to Rs1,797 million from Rs2,550 million. Foreign-exchange income was up 4% at Rs4,578 million, while other income jumped 223% to Rs1,666 million. Non-mark-up income overall rose 9% to Rs23,033 million.

Operating expenses grew 13% to Rs55,650 million as the bank expanded branches and upgraded technology; management said cost controls, automation and digital work limited that rise.

Balance sheet, network and capital

As of 30 September 2026, deposits were Rs2,591 billion, up 10% from end-2025. Gross advances were Rs819 billion and net advances Rs807 billion, each about 2% above December 2025 levels. Investments rose 3% to Rs2,205 billion. Total assets reached Rs3,533 billion, up 5%; net assets were Rs254 billion, down from Rs263 billion at end-2025.

The infection ratio (a measure of non-performing loans relative to advances) was 1.39%, slightly better than 1.42% at end-2025. Coverage stood at 106.2%. Return on assets was 0.9% and Return on Equity Tier 1 was 15.2%. The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR)—capital held against risk-weighted assets—was 23.89%, well above the 11.5% regulatory minimum.

The branch network comprised 1,546 outlets: 941 conventional, 583 Islamic and 22 digital, backed by 2,013 ATMs and 499 cash deposit machines.
