The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), which regulates oil and gas pricing in Pakistan, has raised the LPG price by Rs14.73 per kilogram. The new rate is Rs294.73 per kg, and the revised schedule takes effect from 1 November 2026.
For households that rely on bottled gas, the change is felt most clearly at refill time. An 11.8kg domestic cylinder will cost Rs3,470, up Rs173.86 from the previous Rs3,296, according to the notification OGRA has issued.
Why the LPG price went up
OGRA attributed the increase to a 6.47% rise in the Saudi Aramco contract price. Aramco’s contract rate is a key international benchmark used in setting liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) costs that feed into Pakistan’s domestic pricing.
The regulator has issued a formal notification confirming both the per-kilogram rate and the cylinder price that follows from it. No other reasons for the hike were cited in that notification.
What households will pay
Under the new LPG price, buyers will pay Rs294.73 for each kilogram of gas. On a standard 11.8kg domestic cylinder, that works out to Rs3,470 once the November schedule begins.
Families who cook with cylinder gas will see the higher charge on their next refill after 1 November 2026. The per-cylinder increase of Rs173.86 is the clearest everyday measure of the change for home users.
