Megaspeed’s Alice Huang watched in Nvidia spy inquiry

Anonymous sources say US agencies watched Singapore-based Megaspeed executive Alice Huang for about a year over fears she grew close enough to Jensen Huang to learn Nvidia’s China plans.

US intelligence agencies spent about a year watching a senior Singapore-based technology executive amid concerns she may have been acting as a Chinese spy close to Nvidia’s chief executive, anonymous sources have said.

The executive, Alice Huang—also known as Huang Le—worked for Megaspeed, a Singapore AI cloud firm. Sources said she was photographed among people socialising with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at business dinners in the Singapore region. Agencies sought to understand her links to China, according to those sources.

Why US agencies were concerned

The worry, sources said, was that Huang had grown close enough to Jensen Huang to gather information on Nvidia’s plans and on the CEO’s efforts to persuade the Trump administration to allow more advanced technology shipments to China.

Nvidia rejected the idea that the relationship was unusual. A company spokesperson said Jensen Huang’s interactions with Ms Huang matched those with other regional customers, and that meeting customers is part of a CEO’s job. The spokesperson said he speaks with thousands of customer executives every year.

The company added that regional cloud customers receive ordinary business information, not sensitive Nvidia trade secrets, and “zero information relevant to national security.”

Megaspeed and earlier chip export scrutiny

Separately, in 2025 the US Commerce Department—the agency that oversees export controls—investigated Megaspeed over concerns it was helping Chinese companies bypass AI chip export rules by reselling restricted Nvidia chips. Alice Huang was described as a top executive at the firm at that time.

The newer allegations about possible espionage have not been confirmed by named officials in the material available; they rest on anonymous sources. Nvidia’s public stance is that the contacts were routine customer meetings and did not involve sensitive or security-related information.

Timeline: what has happened so far

  • 2025: The US Commerce Department investigates Megaspeed over alleged help to Chinese firms in sidestepping AI chip export rules through resale of restricted chips; Alice Huang is identified as a top executive there.
  • About one year before late October 2026: US intelligence agencies begin surveillance of Alice Huang to examine her ties to China, according to anonymous sources.
  • October 29, 2026: Anonymous sources describe concerns that Huang’s proximity to Jensen Huang at Singapore-region business dinners could have exposed Nvidia’s plans and China-policy lobbying; Nvidia denies any unusual relationship or national-security disclosures.

Aasan alfaaz mein

America ki intelligence ne Singapore ki company Megaspeed ki executive Alice Huang ko lagbhag ek saal tak dekha. Unka khadsha tha ke woh Nvidia ke CEO Jensen Huang ke qareeb ho kar company ke China plans jaan sakti thin. Nvidia ne kaha ke yeh mamooli customer meetings thin, koi raazdaari ya security ki maloomat nahi di gayi. Pakistan ke IT aur AI users ke liye yeh batata hai ke chip rules aur bari tech companies par America-China tension ab bhi sakht hai.
