Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the gas price regulator, has set a higher OGRA RLNG price hike for October 2026, lifting re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) rates by as much as 15.27% against September. The revision covers transmission and distribution charges for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC), according to the regulator’s notification issued on Friday.
New rates for SNGPL and SSGC
For SNGPL, RLNG transmission prices rose 13.89% to $15.9357 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), from $13.9927 in September. Distribution prices for the same company increased 14.01% to $17.3259 per MMBtu, from $15.1963 a month earlier.
SSGC saw steeper percentage rises. Transmission prices climbed 15.25% to $14.5339 per MMBtu, from $12.6112 in September. Distribution prices rose 15.27% to $16.3959 per MMBtu, from $14.2233 in the previous month—the largest percentage increase in this OGRA RLNG price hike for October 2026.
How OGRA set the October figures
OGRA said the notified prices were based on two cargoes of Pakistan State Oil (PSO). RLNG is imported liquefied natural gas that has been turned back into gas for the pipeline network; MMBtu is the energy unit used to price that gas.
The notification sets the wholesale transmission and distribution RLNG rates for the two Sui companies for October. It does not, on its own, spell out every household slab bill; those depend on how retail tariffs are applied later.
