The University of Peshawar has opened admissions for three postgraduate diploma programmes run by its Department of Psychology, covering assessment and counselling, clinical psychology, and speech and language therapy for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 academic sessions. Interested candidates can submit applications online through the university’s official website until 12 November 2026.
Programmes on offer
The three courses are the Postgraduate Diploma in Assessment and Counselling (PDAC), the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP), and the Postgraduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy (PDSLT). PDAC is listed for the 2026–27 session. PDCP and PDSLT are listed for the 2027–28 session.
According to the university’s admission advertisement, PDAC classes are due to begin on 23 November 2026. Classes for PDCP and PDSLT are scheduled to start on 1 January 2027. The university has also announced a screening test and interview schedule alongside these commencement dates. Candidates for the Clinical Psychology diploma must sit a screening test.
Who is eligible
For Assessment and Counselling and for Clinical Psychology, applicants must hold a BS, MSc, MS, MPhil, or PhD in Psychology or Applied Psychology. For Speech and Language Therapy, the same psychology and applied psychology routes apply; candidates with an MA or MSc in Special Education may also apply.
Every applicant must have at least a second division, or an equivalent grade, from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC, Pakistan’s federal higher-education regulator). The university advises candidates to check the rules for their chosen diploma before applying.

Applications are submitted online on the University of Peshawar website. Applicants select their preferred diploma and enter the required personal and academic details. Anyone who needs help with the process is advised to contact the Department of Psychology. All online applications must be completed by 12 November 2026.
