The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has released the UHS PGET Result 2026 for the Postgraduate Entrance Test, also known as ETPGAT. The exam is used for admission to Level-III postgraduate medical and dental programmes in Punjab. According to the university’s official announcement, 8,271 candidates sat the test and 2,131 qualified, for an overall pass rate of about 25.8%.
The outcome feeds into the Punjab government’s Central Induction Policy (CIP) — the province’s shared system for placing doctors into postgraduate training. Successful candidates are in line for MS, MD, MDS and FCPS seats in the January 2027 intake. Scores are available on the UHS online examination portal.
How specialty groups performed
UHS conducted the test for doctors seeking advanced training across several specialties. In Medicine and Allied, 2,939 candidates appeared and 744 passed. Surgery and Allied Group I saw 248 of 959 qualify, while Surgery and Allied Group II recorded 274 passes from 1,031 candidates.
In Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 287 of 1,136 candidates cleared the paper. Paediatric Medicine had 126 successful candidates out of 485, Radiology 108 of 411, and Anaesthesia 86 of 338. The university said results also cover Ophthalmology, ENT, Pathology, Psychiatry, Oral Surgery, Operative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Prosthodontics and Periodontology.

Applicants should open the UHS Postgraduate Entrance Test admission website and choose the option labelled “Check PGET 2026 Result.” That step directs them to the official results portal, where they can follow the on-screen instructions. The university advises keeping examination details ready while checking.
What comes next for candidates
Qualifying is only the first gate under the CIP pathway. Doctors who have cleared the UHS PGET Result 2026 will still need to follow the induction process for January 2027 MS, MD, MDS and FCPS posts in Punjab. Those who did not qualify will need to wait for a future cycle if they wish to try again.
