Ziauddin University admissions 2026 for postgraduate medical training are now open for the 2026-27 academic session. The university is inviting applications for FCPS-II, MD/MS, MCPS and postgraduate diploma programmes across a range of medical and dental specialties. Online forms must be submitted by 14 November 2026.
Which programmes are open
FCPS-II training is available in 19 specialties. These include Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Chemical Pathology, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Microbiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Ophthalmology, Orthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Operative Dentistry, Pulmonology, Pediatrics and Urology.
MD/MS admissions cover 22 specialties, among them Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Microbiology, Medical Oncology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Rheumatology and Urology. MCPS training is offered in Clinical Pathology, ENT and Ophthalmology. Postgraduate diplomas are open in Pediatric Medicine, Anesthesiology and Dermatology.
Eligibility, test and selection
FCPS-II applicants need an MBBS or BDS degree, a one-year house job and FCPS-I in the relevant discipline. Extra training applies in some fields: Medical Oncology needs two years in Internal Medicine, with preference for those who have cleared the Intermediate Module (IMM); Urology needs two years in General Surgery; and Nephrology, Pulmonology, Cardiology and Neurology each need two years in Internal Medicine. MD/MS candidates need an MBBS and a one-year house job; Interventional Cardiology further requires FCPS-II in Cardiology or an MD in Cardiology. MCPS and diploma applicants need an MBBS and a one-year house job.
Candidates must pass both an entrance test and an interview. The university will hold the test on Saturday, 21 November 2026, in Karachi and Islamabad. Those selected will start postgraduate training in the first week of January 2027.

Interested doctors should use the Ziauddin University admissions portal at admission.zu.edu.pk. New users register an account, choose their preferred postgraduate programme, and complete the online form with personal, academic and training details. Applicants must also mark their preferred campus and check programme requirements before submitting.
With Ziauddin University admissions 2026 now underway, doctors who meet the house-job and exam thresholds have a clear window to apply before mid-November and to plan for the late-November test.
