Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has accused a TikToker known as Patlu of using influence to evade legal action after a stampede at a wedding event in Daska left two people dead and dozens injured. In a post on X dated 1 November 2026, Khawaja Asif condemned the episode and said a TikTok personality had drawn the public to his wedding ceremony by announcing expensive prizes that included substantial cash.

What Asif said about the Daska wedding

Asif alleged that the prizes were an investment aimed at higher earnings from online engagement, and that the whole spectacle had been arranged for further income through social media. He said the gathering had made a mockery of the poverty of underprivileged people in the area. According to the minister, the large crowd then faced a stampede in which two lives were lost and dozens of people were wounded.

In the same post, Asif said the TikToker was absconding and was using influence to weaken enforcement of the law. He warned that unregulated social media could prove deeply harmful to society and the state, and argued that accountability was necessary.

Calls for scrutiny and tax checks

The defence minister stressed that those responsible should be held to account and called for greater scrutiny of social-media personalities. Raising a separate concern about money earned online, Asif asked whether tax laws were regulating influencers who, he claimed, were earning billions of rupees rather than merely crores. He called for their incomes and accountability arrangements to be examined.

Khawaja Asif framed the Daska stampede as a failure that demanded both public condemnation and institutional follow-through. He presented the prizes, the crowd, the deaths and injuries, and the alleged flight from the law as one chain of events that the state should not ignore.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif ne TikToker Patlu par ilzam lagaya hai ke Daska mein shadi ki Taqreeb ke baad woh qanoon se bachne ki koshish kar raha hai. Asif ke mutabiq mehengay inamaat aur cash se bheed jama hui, phir bhagdar mein do log mare aur kayi zakhmi hue. Unhon ne kaha ke yeh show social media ki kamai ke liye tha. Aam shehriyon ke liye matlab yeh hai ke bari bheed wali events mein safety aur hisab kitab dono zaroori hain.
