Karachi Police figures for January to October 2026 show the Karachi crime rate at more than 51,000 reported incidents across the city. The ten-month tally covers killings, abductions, robberies, vehicle theft and a large share of other registered offences.

Murders, abductions and robberies

Police counted 456 murders and 719 attempted murders in that period. Kidnapping cases were also high: 2,800 people were forcibly abducted, 28 were kidnapped for ransom, and 372 children were abducted.

Robberies and dacoities — armed hold-ups and group robberies — reached 2,515. Together with the homicide and abduction numbers, these figures form a large part of the Karachi crime rate recorded so far this year.

Vehicle theft and street-level offences

Motorcycle theft and snatching remained especially heavy, with 8,574 bikes stolen or taken at gunpoint. Cars numbered 928 stolen or snatched, and 292 other vehicles were also taken.

Another 16,292 offences were logged as other crimes. Separately, 3,410 cases were registered under the Prohibition Ordinance, which covers banned intoxicants, and 5,152 under the Arms Ordinance, which deals with illegal weapons.

What the ten-month picture shows

The Karachi Police compiled the numbers as a citywide summary for the first ten months of 2026. The data do not break down districts or name individual operations in the material available, but they do show how often serious and everyday offences were reported.

For readers following Karachi crime statistics, the standout volumes are the overall incident count above 51,000, the murder and abduction totals, and the scale of motorcycle and car snatching. How enforcement will respond next is not set out in these figures; the report itself is a record of what was registered, not a forecast.
