The NCCIA has arrested a suspect in Faisalabad over an alleged visa fraud run through TikTok, the agency said. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, the federal body that looks into online offences, says the person allegedly took money from citizens through a TikTok account that advertised visas for Saudi Arabia.

The agency has registered a case against the suspect. It says the person used forged documents and moved money gained through the scheme into bank accounts, with the help of other suspects.

How the money allegedly moved

According to the NCCIA, the suspect's use of forged documents was central to the case, and the proceeds were routed through accounts held by other people. The agency has described the alleged chain in general terms, so the roles of those other suspects have not been set out in detail.

The fraud was carried out on a social media platform, which the agency treats as a serious concern because the offers reached people directly on their phones.

Items recovered in the operation

During the operation, investigators recovered two mobile phones, 10 fake SIM cards, an Easypaisa account and an alleged merchant account, the NCCIA said. The agency has treated these items as evidence in the case against the suspect, who is accused of the scheme.

Warning to the public

NCCIA Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi warned that the agency will take strict legal action against people who use social media to cheat citizens with overseas employment and visa offers. He urged the public to check visa offers before transferring any money and to report suspicious social media accounts to the agency.

The NCCIA also said financial fraud accounted for 48% of all cybercrime complaints it received in 2026. Put simply, that is roughly 48 out of every 100 complaints, according to the agency's own statistics.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Faisalabad mein NCCIA ne TikTok par Saudi visa ke naam par logon se paise lene ke ilzam mein ek shakhs ko giraftar kiya hai. Ilzam hai ke us ne jaali kaghzaat istemal kiye aur paise bank accounts ke zariye ghumaye. Agar koi social media par visa ya overseas naukri ki offer de, to paise bhejne se pehle use verify karein aur mashkook account NCCIA ko report karein.
