PTCL Group revenue growth reached 62% year on year in the nine months ended September 30, 2026, according to financial results the company announced at a Board of Directors meeting in Islamabad. Consolidated operating profit rose 181% over the same period, and net profit reached Rs4.7 billion. PTCL linked the gains mainly to the amalgamation of Ufone and Telenor under PTML, its mobile business, along with continued growth in its other units.
What drove the growth
PTCL said the Group kept up its momentum in the third quarter of 2026. Much of the PTCL Group revenue growth came from fixed broadband, enterprise and wholesale segments, along with a strong mobile performance after the two companies were combined. The company said the same merger, together with operational efficiencies, helped lift operating profit and net profit.
Mobile, fixed-line and banking figures
PTML reported revenue up 139% year on year, mainly because Telenor Pakistan is now consolidated after the amalgamation. Its operating profit was Rs33.5 billion, a 181% rise, and it added 1.5 million subscribers in the third quarter, taking its base past 76 million. The company also said average revenue per user (ARPU), the average amount each customer pays, grew through portfolio changes, higher usage and network integration.
PTCL's own revenue rose 9% year on year. Flash Fiber revenue grew 26%, Business Solutions rose 15%, Carrier and Wholesale services grew 13%, and international business increased 11%. PTCL posted an operating profit of Rs11 billion and net profit of Rs3 billion, a 343% improvement on the year before.
Ubank generated revenue of Rs18.3 billion and recorded an operating profit, compared with an operating loss in the same period last year. Its bottom line improved 84% against the prior period, which the results describe as a continued recovery.
Plans and customer initiatives
PTML said it will prioritise nationwide network consolidation, 5G expansion, network quality, digital capabilities and customer experience. It widened its 5G footprint across major cities, and network integration progressed in 25 districts by the end of the quarter. Family-sharing bundles for all subscribers and new self-service features were also introduced.
Under the Ba-Ikhtiar programme, 2,100 women across 22 districts completed training in digital marketing, e-commerce and digital financial literacy. PTCL also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), a formal agreement, with ConnectHear to deploy SILA, an AI-powered sign language tool, at customer service centres in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
