Apple posted September-quarter revenue of a record $114.5 billion, a 12% rise from the same period a year earlier. The fiscal fourth quarter ended on 26 September 2026. Growth came from higher iPhone, Mac and Services sales. Diluted earnings per share rose 14% to $2.10, and the company posted a gross margin of 47.9%. Tariff refunds added $0.05 to earnings per share and one percentage point to the gross margin.

iPhone and Services drive the quarter

The iPhone remained Apple’s largest business. Quarterly iPhone revenue was $57.6 billion, compared with $49 billion a year earlier—an increase of about 17%. For the full fiscal year, iPhone revenue reached $254.1 billion, up from $209.6 billion in 2025.

Services were the second-largest category, with a record $31.6 billion in the quarter, versus $28.8 billion a year earlier. Annual Services revenue rose to $123.3 billion from $109.2 billion. Mac revenue climbed from $8.7 billion to $10.8 billion, moving ahead of Wearables, Home and Accessories, which fell from $9 billion to $8.3 billion. iPad revenue declined from $6.9 billion to $6.2 billion.

Profit, spending and regional sales

Net income for the September quarter was $30.7 billion, compared with $27.5 billion in the year-ago period. Operating income rose to $35.6 billion from $32.4 billion. Research and development spending increased to $11.7 billion from $8.9 billion.

For fiscal 2026 as a whole, Apple reported record revenue of $478.8 billion, up from $416.2 billion in 2025, and net income of $132.2 billion, compared with $112 billion a year earlier. Annual earnings per share also grew at a double-digit pace.

The Americas remained the largest regional market, with $48.7 billion in quarterly revenue, up from $44.2 billion. Europe followed at $32 billion, from $28.7 billion. Greater China contributed $17.5 billion, versus $14.5 billion. Rest of Asia Pacific rose from $8.4 billion to $9.7 billion, while Japan edged down from $6.6 billion to $6.5 billion.

New products and the holiday quarter ahead

After the quarter closed, Apple introduced updated MacBooks, its first touchscreen MacBook Pro, an iPad mini with an OLED display, expanded smart-home hardware, an updated Apple TV device, and the iPhone Duo, which began shipping in late October. Sales of those products will appear in the next results, which cover the holiday period.

CEO John Ternus called the September quarter a record period, citing strong iPhone revenue and an all-time high for Services, and said the figures closed Apple’s strongest fiscal year to date. He pointed to the latest lineup—including the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max—along with smart-home expansion, touchscreen MacBooks and new Siri AI features as important for holiday-season performance.
