The OGDC corporate transparency ranking for 2026 places the state-owned energy firm first among 104 listed companies in Pakistan. In the latest assessment by Transparency International Pakistan (TI Pakistan), OGDC scored 92.71%, well above the overall average of 66.73%, which puts it in the 'Significantly Transparent' band. The result reflects how openly the company discloses its governance practices, finances, internal policies and responsible business commitments.
What the assessment measured
The TRAC 2026 review examined 104 listed firms and graded their disclosures against several corporate transparency indicators. Anti-corruption programmes averaged 53.41%, organisational transparency 92.49% and domestic financial reporting 92.5%. Gender equality and inclusion came to 68.11% on average, while the lowest averages were in the human rights area at 45.98% and in ESG reporting at 47.84%.
Reviewers looked for publicly disclosed commitments on several workplace matters. These included pledges against harassment at work, fair treatment in hiring and promotion, inclusion of people with disabilities, and procedures for handling discrimination complaints. Only what companies published counted toward their results.
Where OGDC stood out
OGDC reached the full 100% mark in four areas: anti-corruption programmes, organisational transparency, its domestic financial reporting, and gender equality with disability inclusion. Transparency International Pakistan singled out its Code of Conduct as good practice, especially the secure, confidential channels that let staff report unethical conduct in both directions.
The company also scored 100% on public procurement linked to state contracts and tender processes, where it came first in that category. Its scores were 81.25% on the human rights front and 75% for ESG disclosures, both comfortably above the sector averages. On gender inclusion it tied for the top score alongside Interloop and Sazgar Engineering.
What the result says about the wider sector
Across the 104 firms, financial reporting and organisational disclosure were already strong on average, which makes the weaker areas the clearest point of difference. Human rights and ESG reporting lagged well behind, so companies seeking to match OGDC's position will need to publish more in those areas. Readers who follow listed companies can use these categories to compare how each firm reports.
